LAARES is now part of Resilient Los Altos, a fiscally sponsored program of the Los Altos Mountain View Community Foundation (LAMVCF), a 501(c)3 organization. All donations are handled by LAMVCF and are tax deductible. Donations to LAARES are used to maintain our existing equipment which includes our two ham radio repeaters and several packet systems. We continue to add to our inventory of systems that can be deployed throughout the city of Los Altos in emergency situations. All systems are used to provide a link between neighborhoods and the city - situational information such as damage reports can be sent to the city so they can have a better understanding of overall status of our residents.
